The event, which took place at the iconic Empire State Building, saw cricket legends Chris Gayle, a two-time T20 World Cup champion, and Ali Khan, a rising star from the USA, come together to light up the building in the tournament’s official colors of navy and pink.

As the Empire State Building shone brightly in the night sky, cricket enthusiasts from around the world eagerly anticipate the ninth edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup, set to commence on June 1, 2024. This groundbreaking tournament will be jointly hosted by the USA and the West Indies, marking the first time an ICC event has been held on American soil.

Over the coming months, the coveted T20 World Cup trophy will embark on a journey spanning 15 countries and four continents, making stops at iconic sporting venues, famous landmarks, and meeting legendary cricketers along the way. The tour will also venture into emerging cricket nations in the Americas, such as Argentina, Brazil, and Canada, with the goal of attracting new fans to the sport.

The USA portion of the tournament will be hosted across three state-of-the-art venues: the newly constructed 34,000-seater Nassau County International Stadium in New York, the recently renovated Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas, and the Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill. New York will have the honor of hosting eight matches, while the other two venues will each host four games.

Meanwhile, the West Indies, as co-hosts, will showcase matches at their own iconic cricket grounds, including venues in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Additionally, due to overwhelming public demand, the ICC has released additional tickets for 51 out of the 55 matches, ensuring that cricket enthusiasts have ample opportunities to secure their spot at this once-in-a-lifetime event.

The first month of the Trophy Tour promises to be action-packed, with stops in New York, Houston, Grand Prairie, Dallas, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Lucia.
